Carlyle Reports Second Quarter 2023 Financial Results

New York and Washington, August 2, 2023 – Global investment firm The Carlyle Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CG) today reported its unaudited results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2023. The full detailed presentation of Carlyle's second quarter 2023 results can be viewed here.

Carlyle Chief Executive Officer Harvey M. Schwartz said, “While the economic backdrop remains complex and investor sentiment remains mixed, the peak of the inflation cycle may have passed. We’re cautiously optimistic activity levels will accelerate from here. Our deep and talented investing teams are focused on capitalizing on opportunities to deploy capital where we see great risk-reward. U.S. GAAP results for Q2 2023 included income (loss) before provision for income taxes of $(0.1) billion and net income (loss) per common share of $(0.27) on a diluted basis.  Total balance sheet assets were $21 billion as of June 30, 2023.

Dividend

The Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.350 per common share to holders of record at the close of business on August 15, 2023, payable on August 23, 2023.
